This is a venue for encounter between the university and the business sector that purports to showcase the latest in the world of technology as well as the innovation capacity of Basque companies and research centers to both the institution’s students and society in general.
In addition to sponsoring this encounter held from April 5 to 7, in the exhibition area, IK4 displayed different projects currently being implemented with those collaborating to promote the competitiveness of different industrial companies.
The program this year consisted of round tables, workshops and activities where companies and technological entities participated, among them Cimubisa, the Municipality of Bilbao, the Regional Delegation of Bizkaia, Emakunde, Vidrala, Microsoft, the SPRI Group, Samsung, Bilbao Ekintza, Donostia Sustapena/San Sebastián Promotion and Alzola Basque Water.
Further to the program for this year, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Deusto University College of Engineering, the Ada Byron Award for women technologists was announced, which this year was given to businesswoman and Mathematics PhD, Regina Llopis.
