The 3rd edition of the Trater Day Technical Forum, organized by the Metallurgical Research Center IK4-AZTERLAN and the TABIRA Foundry Institute, will be held on 23rd November in Durango, Bizkaia.
The thermal treatment sector is facing the main challenge of proposing innovative solutions to improve the characteristics of the materials used for high demanding industrial applications such as aeronautic, naval or automotive sector. The main target is to increase the properties and to reduce the weight and the cost of metallic materials.
In order to identify technological advances that can help to improve the competitive position of the metal-mechanical industry, the Trater Day 2017 will analyze trends and new technological developments by companies such as TALENS SYSTEMS SL ETXE-TAR Group, CEIT-IK4, QUINTUS TECHNOLOGIES, A3TS (Assoc. de Traitement Thermique et de Traitement de Surface), OERLIKON BALZERS Spain, GHI Hornos Industriales, ONDARLAN INDUCTOTHERM GROUP IBERIA and TORRAVAL COOLING, SL, as well as the IK4-AZTERLAN Technology Center.
The Thermal Treatment Technical Forum will take place on November 23rd at the IK4-AZTERLAN facilities in Durango, with the support of Trater Press as a media partner.

“Trater Day” Thermal Treatment Technical Forum
“Trater Day” is a technical event organized by the IK4-AZTERLAN Metallurgical Research Center and the TABIRA Foundry Institute. In its last edition, Trater Day brought together about 80 professionals and 50 companies of the sector.
This technical workshop is positioned as a yearly meeting point for professionals, technicians and research teams specialized in the latest advances and innovations in the different fields of heat treatment technologies (tempering technologies, surface treatments, characterization, measurement, coatings, etc.).
