IK4-AZTERLAN will present the a predictive intelligence platform at the international industrial exhibition Hannover Messe 2018

The Metallurgy Research Centre will present one of its latest developments on Predictive Intelligence Control for Casting processes at the Basque Industry 4.0 stand.

 predictive intelligence platform in real-time makes a multi-variable analysis of the more than 600 parameters involved in the metallurgical transformation process of any cast component being manufactured.

Developed by the Technogy Center’s Artificial intelligence and advanced technological solutions team, the SENTINEL®

By means of this analysis, SENTINEL® predicts the final quality of the castings and if any failure or deviation is detected, sends the corresponding alarms and corrective proposals to the key equipment and workforce involved in the process.

Thus, SENTINEL® helps foundries and any other metal transformation industries to advance in the path of higher productivity and zero defects. These are some of the foundries that already deployed custom solutions of the platform: Sakthi Portugal (where the taylor-built solution is called Olympus), Fuchosa S.L., Fundiciones Garbi S.A. and Betsaide S.A.L. (currently the platform is being deployed and adjusted).

IK4-AZTERLAN will be present at the Basque Industry 4.0 stand (Hall 27, stand F17), along with other Basque organizations and technology centers.

In addition, Ph.D. Javier Nieves (researcher from the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technological Solutions team from IK4-AZTERLAN), will offer two conferences on how to approach the “zero defect“ scenario in industrial processes with the help of Industry 4.0 technologies.
