Creation of a New Technology-Based Company: MESHIND

AZTERLAN Technology Centre and the company ESTAMPACIONES DURANGO S.A. are cooperating in the creation of a company oriented to the development of industrial applications of the Laser Cladding technology.

The company Metal Stamping & Hot Industry S.L. (MESHIND) has been established on December 22th (2020), integrating the industrial experience of the company Estampaciones Durango S.A. and the knowledge and capabilities of AZTERLAN Metallurgy Research Center.

The future activity of the company is oriented to the development of applications of laser cladding and laser welding to metal components with high added value. That is, parts with complex or high-revolution geometries that may be subject to wear or that require certain mechanical characteristics for which it is necessary to locally modify the alloy level and / or its design, guaranteeing specific mechanical properties in the surface (such as resistance to abrasion, adhesion, wear, corrosion, … etc).

For this purpose, the collaboration of AZTERLAN Technology Center provides an essential support, with the strategic view of mastering the technology and the materials processed (base materials and powder alloys), along with the guarantee of the metallurgical integrity of the components developed by MESHIND.
