AZTERLAN advances towards “zero emissions” activity with the expansion of its photovoltaic solar generation plant for self-consumption. Thanks to it the Centre will reduce the generation of greenhouse gases linked to the energy demands of its activity.
The transition towards a “net zero emissions” world is necessary to fight against climate change, being one of the biggest challenges of our society. It requires a clear commitment as well as a transformation in the way we produce and consume, also in the way our activity is carried out. At AZTERLAN we are determined to undertake the challenge.
In addition to the initial bet the Technology Centre already did to generate air conditioning (heating and cooling) and of domestic hot water by means of a geothermal system (a renewable and extraordinarily efficient technology), now, AZTERLAN has expanded its photovoltaic solar installation, which has self-consumption purposes with a total generation capacity of 150kWp. This energy will cover a significant part of the needs of the Centre’s activity.
This one is a new environmental commitment by the Technology Centre specialized in metallurgy, which joins the already settled set of measures to advance towards a zero emissions objective.
