The Executive Committee of the World Foundry Organization has held a new working meeting within the framework of the South African Metal Casting Conference and the 7th International BRICS Foundry Forum.
The WFO (World Foundry Organization) is an international network established in 1927 that actually gathers a total of 30 associate member countries, including the most relevant nations in terms of production, demand and technological development within the casting industry. A valuable reference point for the global foundry industry.
Along with the celebration of these outstanding international technical events the World Foundry Organization has held a new working meeting that has allowed to follow up the new initiatives recently launched by the organization, aimed at advancing technological developments of the foundry industry and to improve technical cooperation among its member countries, including the follow up of eight International Working Groups and the next organization of the 73rd World Foundry Congress to be held in the city of Krakow (Poland) in 2018.
IK4-Azterlan Metallurgical Research Center reaffirms its commitment to this worldwide organization taking an active role in the Executive Board and providing a direct backup support to its general secretariat since January 2015.
