The webinar, organized by the INEVITABLE project consortium, will gather the results of the demonstrators developed within this ambitious research work targeting the energy efficiency and improvement of the quality of products manufactured by these industries.
After more than 3 years working on the development of innovative digital technologies to optimize the manufacturing process of steel and non-ferrous components, INEVITABLE project members will share the demonstrators and the key results of the different technologies integrated. With this aim, an on-line webinar is programed for March 15th, where the following developments and fields of action will be presented:
- Optimization framework for electric arc furnaces.
- System for supervision, optimization, diagnosis and monitoring of Cold Rolling mills.
- Decision support and optimization systems in refining and continuous casting operations.
- Predictive process models for refining and continuous casting of liquid Steel.
- Cognitive systems for non ferrous investment casting processes.
A digital twin to improve the manufacturing process of aircraft parts
As part of the INEVITABLE project, the company EIPC and AZTERLAN will share the demonstrator of the digital twin of a non-ferrous investment casting process for the manufacturing of aircraft components. As a main goal, the workteam focused on improving the mechanical properties of aluminum components as well as on the reduction of rejection rates. With this purpose, a unique centralized monitoring system and data architecture driven by ad-hoc Predictive Control Models were developed and deployed in the monitoring systems of the plant by using SENTINEL® platform.
