The town of Pisa (Italy) has recently hosted this important international framework in which IK4-Azterlan shared part of the results of its latest research works within the official technical program of the Congress.
Developments associated with the corrosion behavior of aluminum alloy A357 and the influence in such behavior of certain chemical elements from the recycling processes, have been the basis of the work performed and presented by the researchers of the Corrosion and Protection area and by the Engineering R & D and metallurgical processes from IK4-Azterlan.
The main aim of the EUROCORR Congress is to promote and to exchange the latest technological developments and technical experiences associated to protection against corrosion.
The congress attracted over 963 attendees (the top European experts in the field), within the main forum of science and corrosion engineering. The official scientific program included plenary sessions, technical lectures (oral presentations and posters), workshops, and a wide range of additional activities.
The highest interest of the Congress has been focused in the following fields: corrosion in the automotive and in the Oil & Gas sector, cathodic protection, ……… among others.
