IK4-AZTERLAN takes part in the conference “Citizens and companies on the new digital era” sharing some experiences of digitalization in the metal industry

Organized by the company FERROVIAL Services, this relevant working meeting has been held in Vitoria-Gasteiz on the 1st October to share experiences related with the digital transformation challenges. The high-interest working program has offered a great opportunity to share the vision and the experience of many agents (from institutional, industrial, entrepreneurial, educational, technological and social fields) to face the challenges and the opportunities associated to the new digital era

Dr. Javier Nieves, head researcher at the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technological Solutions area of IK4-AZTERLAN Metallurgy Research Centre, has taken part in the round table dialogue organized within the event, where he has shared some of the experiences of the Technology Centre in the field of digitalization and deployment of 4.0 technologies in the metal-mechanical industry.

The different presentations and the enriching discussion between agents, along with the institutional interest and commitment regarding this open challenge, represented by the participation of Mr. Gorka Urtaran (Mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz) and Mr. Ramiro González (General Deputy of Álava), have been key for the success of this outstanding working frame.
