The ECHT 2024 (European Conference on Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering) & A3TS 50th Congress will take place together in Toulouse (France) on June 5-7, 2024. AZTERLAN Metallurgy Research Centre, represented by Dr. Garikoitz Artola, is part of the Scientific Comittee of this oustanding technical event.
The focus will be on processes and technologies for a sustainable future in transport and industry:
- Heat treatments of metals (iron and steel, non-ferrous alloys)
- Thermochemical treatments of metals
- Coatings and surface treatments: wet treatment operations (electrochemistry, etc.)
- Coatings and surface treatments: dry treatment operations (PVD, CVD, plasma, thermal spraying, etc.)
- Preparation and conversion of surfaces
In addition to conventional topics of ECHT conferences, ECHT2024 will focus on the following issues:
- Contribution of Innovative Heat and Thermochemical Treatments to EU climate goals
- Digital technologies in Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering industries
- Coatings made of Enhanced Materials for electrical and thermal conductivities
- Surface engineering to adress environnemental constraints
- New needs in tribological properties: an open challenge for heat treatment and surface engineering
The abstract submission deadline is open until January 22th, 2024. The preliminary program for the event will be presented in March.
