Organized within the “Deep Dive BDIH – Advanced Materials” of Grupo SPRI, the session will take place on May 9 at the facilities of the AZTERLAN Metallurgy Research Centre.
On May 9th, AZTERLAN will host the session on atomization and powder metallurgy technologies organized within the BDIH’s Advanced Materials Deep Dive. This session will focus on promoting the improvement of production processes through recycling and reuse in the composition of metallic materials, with special attention to atomization technologies and powder metallurgy. In addition to optimizing the products and processes of Basque SMEs, these innovations contribute to pursuing the objective of sustainability. To this end, the conference will bring together use cases and practical demonstrations in different sectors, as well as the services and assets of the BDIH Advanced Materials node. Among these are AZTERLAN’s metal powder development and characterization capabilities, as well as its Advanced Technologies Unit.
This Deep Dive is especially aimed at Managers, R&D Managers, Quality Managers and Production Managers of Basque industrial companies seeking to improve the performance of their production processes and analyze the added value generated by the incorporation of new materials and tools. As indicated by the Advanced Materials node representatives, “technologies such as powder metallurgy are very useful for producing complex components, optimizing the use of material, which can lead to a significant reduction in costs associated with production. All this without sacrificing quality, nor the possibility of customizing the pieces, and always focusing on sustainability. “Hands on” sessions will be planned in which attendees will have the opportunity to be close to expert personnel, both to work directly with the assets presented and to contrast their individual needs with the technical equipment and check whether these tools and materials They can be incorporated into your production processes.
