Aluminum Alloys for Molding (1st part)

The purpose of this publication is to serve as a manual for engineering and operator personnel who work in the environment of aluminum transformation processes.

It is a compilation of the fundamentals of the metallurgical technology of metal in a liquid state. It begins by describing the production procedures for aluminum and its alloys, as well as their compositions and structures.

Subsequently, the tests to which the metal can be subjected are collected, and the properties obtained in each case.

Finally, the arguments used for the rational choice of aluminum and the main applications for which it is intended are mentioned.
